Sheila’s Wholesome Oxtails

Hi Angels Working on Earth Family!

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the art of mindful eating. Sustainability is the key, and we can achieve it by being conscious of where our food comes from and how it affects our body. By doing so, we can reduce food waste, discover better food sources, and elevate our culinary experiences.

And speaking of elevating our culinary experiences, have you tried oxtail stew before? This dish is a true gem, with a rich cultural history dating back to the seventeenth century. It’s a meat-based dish, but when prepared correctly, it can be a nutritious addition to your diet.

The recipe I have for you today is one of the best slow-cooker oxtail recipes out there. It’s packed with flavor and tenderness, with a unique blend of vegetables that will leave your taste buds singing. And the best part? It’s a healthier alternative to the traditional oxtail recipe, with reduced fat content that won’t compromise on taste.

Now, let’s talk about sustainability. A sustainable diet has four dimensions: nutrition and health, economic, social and cultural, and environmental. And this recipe ticks all of those boxes. It’s healthy, affordable, culturally significant, and has a low environmental impact.

If you’re looking to make conscious choices about the meat you consume, this recipe is a great place to start. You can also experiment with incorporating more plant-based foods into your diet, like squash, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, greens, and carrots.

And the best part? You can see a demonstration of this recipe on my YouTube channel!
