Hi, Angels Working on Earth Family!
Would you like to learn and experience a new recipe by Home Chef? I’m so excited to share a dish from Home Chef, “Chicken with Fig and Bacon Jam.”
I would describe this dish as very bacony, a little sweet, and a little nutty. Chicken is packed with essential nutrients and good fats. The green beans were an excellent source of plant protein and buttery and had the perfect snap! The dish features quality fats and wholefood carbohydrates and is seasoned with spices and herbs, adding flavors that complement the dish.
The ingredients are healthy and taste good. But if you aren’t fond of bacon, simply put it aside. It serves 2, takes 45-55 minutes to prepare, and is easy to make. If you like this dish, Home Chef will provide quick delivery for an economical cost.
Prepare The Ingredients

Trim the ends off the green beans.
Halve, and peel the onion. Slice halves into strips.
Pat chicken breasts dry, and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. of salt.
Cook The Onions

Heat 2 tsp. olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add onion to a hot pan and occasionally stir until browned, 10-13 minutes. If the pan becomes dry, add water 1 tsp. at a time.
While the onion cooks, cook the chicken.
Cook The Chicken

Add olive oil to a non-stick pan and place over medium heat.
Add chicken breasts to a hot pan and cook till browned. Ensure the internal temperature is 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes on each side.
Plate and tent the chicken on a plate to keep it warm.
Finish The Vegetables

Add green beans and garlic salt to a hot pan with onions. Stir until slightly tender, 6-8 minutes. Add 2 tsp. of water if green beans need more time. 1-3 minutes.
Transfer vegetables to a plate. Wipe the pan clean.

Make Blue Cheese

Add half the blue cheese and 1/3 cup of water to the hot, dry pan. Stir to combine. Bring to a simmer, then remove from the burner. Keep half for garnish.
Get ready to make the fig jam.
Make The Fig Jam

Return the pan used to cook the chicken to medium-low heat.
Add the fig spread, bacon, and 1 Tbsp. water to hot pan and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, remove from burner and add butter.
It’s time to plate the dish!
Top chicken with fig jam and vegetables with blue cheese fondue, crispy onions, and remaining blue cheese to taste
