Hello Angels Working on Earth Family!
I recently had the delightful opportunity to dine at Carmello’s, a charming restaurant tucked away in the heart of Oldtown Manassas during my visit for a meeting. Upon entering, I was immediately captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere created by the soft, golden lighting and rustic decor, which beautifully reflected the rich historical essence of the area. For my meal, I opted for the highly recommended New York Strip Steak, a cut that promised to be both flavorful and satisfying. It arrived artfully presented alongside garlic herb roasted potatoes, which were wonderfully fluffy on the inside, and tender broccoli that completed the dish.
Carmello’s boasts an ideal location directly across from the bustling Manassas Visitors Center, making it a convenient stop for both locals and travelers alike. The surrounding area buzzes with life, showcasing a delightful array of restaurants ranging from cozy cafes to more upscale dining establishments, each with its own unique culinary offerings. As I stepped outside after my meal, I was enveloped in the quaint charm of the old town—soft conversations floated on the breeze, and the joyful laughter from nearby gatherings created a lively and inviting atmosphere.
Turning to the meal itself, the steak proved to be nothing short of exceptional—succulent, juicy, and cooked to absolute perfection. It was generously topped with a rich gravy, complemented by caramelized onions, fragrant rosemary, and a colorful medley of red and green peppers.
However, I was disappointed to find the accompanying vegetables overcooked, lacking the freshness and crunch I had hoped for. The salad, while crisp, was rather ordinary and failed to make a lasting impression.
Overall, my experience at Carmello’s was quite pleasant, and I truly appreciated the harmonious blend of flavors, despite a few minor missteps in the preparation of the vegetables.
Always With Love!
